This Double Layer Cardholder Leather Cutting Die is designed for makers who want precision and flexibility in crafting. The die is slightly larger in size, making it more suitable for firm leathers and for use with a die-cutting machine (be sure to check your machine’s size compatibility). While it can be used with a mallet, a press or cutting machine is generally more efficient for consistent results.

During development, multiple prototypes were tested to refine the placement of snap fasteners. Because snap positions vary with leather thickness, this die does not include pre-cut holes for the base snaps—you’ll need to adjust placement to your leather and punch them manually with a round hole punch.

Notes & Care

• The wooden base simply supports the die shape; slight chipping, uneven color, or darkened edges from laser cutting are normal and do not affect use.

• Please handle with care—the blades are extremely sharp.

• Please note: Dies are consumable tools. Typical lifespan is a few hundred cuts (varies by material & use).
  For best results, clear out the waste from each cut-out after every session — heavy build-up can affect cutting performance and blade life.
